The roads are now open in Queenstown but extreme care is required.   The Crown Range is open but chains are essential.

Lindis Pass is now open with extreme care required.

Please check this website or  listen to the radio for updates on road conditions.

If you don't need to go anywhere - don't.  But if you do need to take the car, make sure you have your chains and drive to the conditions.   Remember - 4 wheel drives are not bullet proof.
