Mayor helps celebrate 5 years of recycling

Vanessa surrounded by champion recyclers from Remarkables, Kingsview, Arrowtown and St Joseph Primary Schools as they celebrate 5 years of recycling in the Wakatipu. Mayor van Uden told the children that in the last five year’s people in the Wakatipu Basin had recycled the equivalent weight of 3000 elephants 19,000 tonne. The children assisted in cutting and eating a special birthday cake before being presented with champion recycling badges and taken on a tour of the recycling centre.
