Roadworks on Crown Range Zigzags

- Date:
- Mar 17, 2014
Motorists using the Crown Range Road will encounter short delays from today while the zigzags on the Queenstown side of the Crown are resurfaced.
Preparatory work will begin today with the full resurfacing due to start next Monday. The road will remain open, but motorists should expect delays between the Crown Terrace and the junction with State Highway 6. The alternative route between Queenstown and Wanaka via Cromwell remains available and the road between Cardrona and Wanaka is not affected.
Signage will be in place at both ends of the Crown Range road.
Most of the work is expected to be complete by Easter. Any remaining work will be scheduled to avoid inconveniencing traffic for the Warbirds over Wanaka Airshow and other Easter events.
