The Draft Arrowtown Design Guidelines are now available for public comment Queenstown Lakes District Council planning manager Vicki Jones said.

The guidelines have been produced by a team of Arrowtown based consultants for the Council and the Arrowtown Heritage Trust and follow on from the Arrowtown Community Plan process she said.

The guidelines related to all Arrowtown property and will provide an important guide for landscaping streetscape subdivision and architecture in the urban area.

It will be a great resource for all residents so its important that Arrowtown people take the time to have a look at the document Ms Jones said.

Copies of the guideline were available at the Lakes District Museum the Queenstown and Wanaka Council offices the Queenstown CivicCorp office and the Arrowtown Library.

When finalised it is likely that the guidelines will be published as a full set and also as four separate documents each relating to a different part of Arrowtown Ms Jones said.

The draft guidelines were available in hard copy and on disc on request.
