A second workshop is to be held on the proposed Wanaka 'Kirimoko Block' Plan Change, Queenstown Lakes District Council senior policy analyst Alyson Schuler said.

"A workshop was held at the end of 2004 to discuss the proposal. Since then the Council has been working with the landowners to address appropriate zoning and landscape mitigation measures," Ms Schuler said.

The Plan Change was proposed initially to provide for future residential growth and to accommodate a new school. The Kirimoko Block is bordered by the proposed Peninsula Bay Zone, Rata Street and Aubrey Road.

"This will be an excellent opportunity for Wanaka residents to give further feedback on progress," she said.

The workshop will be held at the Wanaka Community Centre at 5pm on Saturday, July 22.

Representatives from the Council, the landowners and the consultant team will be at the workshop.
