Bizinfo Launched

The Queenstown Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Queenstown Lakes District Council officially launched a new business resource in Queenstown this week.

"The Business Information Zone or Bizinfo is a government initiative designed to make it easier to run business," Queenstown chamber chief executive Nick Lambert said.

The resource included a raft of vital business information from how to reduce time and effort finding relevant government business information to tips on good business practice and tax information.

"It's the small to medium business person's 'one stop shop' of business advice, and it's completely free," Mr Lambert said.

The resource was now available through the QLDC front line customer services team at the council offices on Gorge Road, Queenstown.

"We are very pleased to be able to lend our support to this worthwhile initiative. Bizinfo is a highly useful and well presented resource which can only add value to those members of our business community who take the time to seek it out," QLDC Mayor Clive Geddes said.

Other information available with the resource was how to grow a business, how to write a business plan and information on business training.

For those unable to visit the council offices, the resource could also be accessed through a free calling number 0800 42 49 46.
