Residents in Queenstown and Wanaka could expect longer library hours from September, 2006.

"The change in library hours is to ensure better access to library services for the community," joint QLDC/CODC library manager Adele Hewlett said.

The new hours were 10am - 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

"Borrowers can expect to receive the same high quality service on a Saturday as they do any other day during the week," Ms Hewlett said.

The new hours would commence from 2 September in both Queenstown and Wanaka.
