Luggate Boil Water Notice Lifited
- Date:
- Dec 14, 2006
The Boil Water Notice issued to Luggate residents on Wednesday, 13 December 2006 has now been lifted, Queenstown Lakes District Council spokeswoman Meaghan Miller said.
"As a precaution, the notice was left in place during the weekend but consecutive testing has now shown a negative result," she said.
Residents were also being advised that the supply was now chlorinated.
"A temporary chlorination unit has been put in place and this will be replaced by a permanent unit in the near future," Ms Miller said.
The ongoing chlorination of the water would ensure the supply continued to be safe for drinking.
