Media Advisory – Earnslaw Park Turf Upgrade

The Council is set to start work upgrading the turf on Earnslaw Park starting this week. 

“The park has seen a lot of activity in recent years and it's reached the point where we need to replace rather than make running repairs to the grass cover,” General Manager Operations Ruth Stokes said. 

The scheduled work would include digging out the old compacted soils and replacing it with better quality soil then placing ready lawn on the top to ensure instant cover.

Earnslaw Park, including the grass in front of Pog Mahones and Prime, will be closed for 4-6 weeks to complete the work.

“We expect the park to be available for public use by Labour weekend,” Mrs Stokes said.
