Annual Plan Process
The Council prepares a Long Term Plan every 3 years. An Annual Plan is prepared on the years in between to determine the projects, resourcing and budgets for the year.
Consultation
We are currently preparing the Annual Plan for 2019/20. From Monday 11 March to Friday 12 April 2019, we’ll be asking people to give feedback on any proposed changes to major projects, strategic decisions or essential spending on infrastructure and services. Your thoughts will help shape the 2019-2020 Annual Plan.
Timeline/Process
Early March
Supporting documents and consultation document to the Annual Plan 2019/20 go to Council for adoption on Thursday 7 March 2019
Submissions to the Annual Plan open on Monday 11 March 2019
Early April
Submission period closes Friday 12 April 2019
End of May
Hearing of submissions will be held in Wanaka on 20 May and in Queenstown on 21 May Dates subject to final confirmation.
By 30 June
Council adopts the final 2019-2020 Annual Plan
We’ll make the consultation information available online and at Council offices and libraries across the district. A submission form will be available online from the 11 March. All submissions will be made available to the public (excluding contact details).
