We act for Queenstown Airport Corporation Limited (QAC) in relation to its appeal (Appeal) dated 19 June 2018 on Stage 1 of the Queenstown Lakes Proposed District Plan (Proposed Plan) (ENV-2018-CHC-093). 2. QAC gives notice that it wishes to withdraw part of is its Appeal on Stage 1 of the Proposed Plan. Specifically, it wishes to withdraw the relief sought in its Appeal at: (a) paragraph 18(g)(ix) where it seeks the deletion of Rule 17.4.13 - Visitor Accommodation; and (b) paragraph 18(g)(x) where it seeks the reinsertion of notified Rule 17.5.8 - Acoustic treatment of Visitor Accommodation. 3. These appeal points have been allocated to Topic 21 Commercial Airports, for which mediation is scheduled from 10 – 13 September 2019. QAC has already circulated to the parties its position paper for the mediation, in which has indicated it is no longer pursuing the appeal points at paragraph 2 above. This notice of withdrawal now formally confirms that, for the avoidance of doubt, so that the mediation time can be utilised as efficiently as possible.
